Social Networking

Following is the 2009-2010 Social Media Directive for Electric as well as some extremely useful information and references on the topic.

Electric Visual Social Media:

  1. Facebook
  2. Electric will have one global Facebook Fan site. This site will be updated with all relevant and important information that has to do with Electric Product and Electric Marketing. Our Page will be updated regularly.

    Electric currently has: 15,931 Facebook Fans

    Major Items:

    • Items submitted for News / Events / Media that appear on our site will also appear on Facebook.
    • Product and product releases will go through Facebook as well as our site.
    • Contests and Fan interaction.
    • Electric Twitter feed will also appear as post on Facebook.
    • No other regions are to have an Electric Facebook Page.

  4. Electric will start to use Twitter more and more to keep the newest electric moments available to our fans and followers when they happen in real time and to feed our Facebook pages.

    Electric currently has: 890 Twitter Followers

    Major Items:

    • Items submitted for News / Events / Media that appear on our site will also appear on Twitter.
    • Product and product releases will go through Twitter as well as our site.
    • Contests and Fan interaction.
    • Electric Twitter feed will also appear as post on Facebook.
    • All Electric Regions are highly encouraged to have regional Twitter accounts to make their specific marketing needs know to their public. All interested regional distributors need to contact Carl for set up instructions and for a set up kit.
    • Regional Marketing personnel must have a Twitter Phone app on their phones. (I suggest that everyone get one – especially iPhone users). This way you can post and follow tweets anywhere at any time. I use Tweetie: http://www.atebits.com/tweetie-iphone/

  6. We currently post all video content on our Youtube channel. We will continue to use this massive search engine to do so along with our own web site Volt TV video player.

    Electric currently has: 607 Subscribers

    Major Items:

    • All Electric video Content.
    • Contests and Fan interaction.
    • No other regions are to have an Electric Youtube Page. We will be setting up regional play lists on Youtube for major distributors.

  8. Myspace has seen a large slow down because of Facebook’s domination in the Social Networking world. However we still have a large following and will be updating this page ASAP.

    Electric currently has: 14,970 Myspace friends

    • Items submitted for News / Events / Media that appear on our site will also appear on Myspace.
    • Product and product releases will go through Myspace as well as our site.
    • Contests and Fan interaction.
    • Electric Twitter feed will also appear as post on Myspace.
    • No other regions are to have an Electric Facebook Page.

  9. Other Areas of interest / Moving Forward:
    1. RSS Feed. Electric has it’s own RSS Feed:
    2. Electric News, Events and Media Coverage functions in Blog style.
    3. You can share our product information by a myriad of ways using the add this function at the bottom right of each product page.
    4. Wikipedia: We should have our Wikipedia entry posted in the very near future.
    5. iPhone App – This will be completely redone and launched as version 3.0 in Q4 of this year.
    6. Electric will increase it’s online advertising and grass roots efforts vs. print advertising in 2010.
