Make sure to check out the third Electric Chair Show presented by Electric with Martin Cernik on Method TV.
This time we have the Czech charger, contest smashing Martin Cernik. He takes us back to the early days of coming up in a communist nation and the general scene in the Eastern Europe. He then breaks down the honest truth about contests, progression, and what’s most important to snowboarding and the people who do it.
NOVEMBER 25TH | THE ANDREAS WIIG SIGNATURE GOGGLE IS HERE
They say a man comes in many colors…
…In that case, the menacing Andreas Wiig has chosen the blood reign and hell of a grimly fiendish profile for the first in a new series of Rider Inspired Designs to be released this winter from Electric.
“The Chosen One”, Andreas yields his very own stamp of brutality, or “signature” as we mortals call it, for the basis of his design. The nightmare black and red, and wasteland grey are emblazed on not just the EG2 that he prefers, but the EG1s, EG.5s, EGK, as well as the classic EG1 and EG.5, benefiting the entire race of shredders – not just conquering overlords.
Yes, these goggles provide the proven protection of Electric’s uncompromising quality, yet the injection of actual black magic into the lenses and Andreas’ own seal of brutality upon the straps, they are sure to transform peasant and barbarian alike into unforgiving berserkers, giving new perspective to the frozen landscape.
May your blood run cold as the scared snow beneath in the Andreas Wiig signature colorway.
Check out Electric’s Jay Davies and his aggressive approach to surfing. Get your note pads out and make sure to play in slow motion and maybe someday you will be able to have your own video. Or just admit that you cant keep up and enjoy the ride.
NOVEMBER 23RD, 2009 | KYLE BUSCH CLINCHES 2009 NATIONWIDE SERIES TITLE | HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY, FL
After a long fought season ELECTRIC’s Kyle “Rowdy” Busch finishes the year with a bang by taking the checkered flag and winning the Homestead 300 this past Saturday. This would be Kyle’s 9th Nationwide win this season and 30th career win in the three series combined. To top it off, Kyle clinched the overall 2009 Nationwide Series the moment he pulled out of pit row to start the race.
In Kyle’s words, “It was a tough race for sure. We weren’t the best car here for a long time. All these guys made some great race calls — [crew chief] Jason [Ratcliff] and everybody else. That’s why we’re a championship team. That’s why we made it here [Saturday], because these guys can fight through stuff.”
Congrats to Kyle Busch on a great win this weekend and most of all, the overall 2009 Nationwide Series Champion. Look out next year!!!

NOVEMBER 12TH 2009 | MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN OFFICIAL OPENING DAY | MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN, CA
Last week was the always-exciting Mammoth Opening Day Kick Off. Electric rolled out the carpet with a deep posse ready for some man-made fiesta snow. Electric teamed up with Volcom and Wave Rave for a JLA Foundation party at Whiskey Creek.
The bar was packed to the fullest and with 15% of the bar total going to the JLA Foundation, everyone was sipping on Grandpas cough syrup like it was going out of style.
The weather was amazing and we were even fortunate enough to have a snow dusting one night. All in all, everyone that went to Mammoth enjoyed good food, lots of cold drinks, and some fun runs in the sunshine.
Electric would like to say thanks to everyone who participated and had a good time with our crew.
NOVEMBER 14TH | “ROCK THE SHOP” WITH BLUE TOMATO | SCHLADMING, AUSTRIA
“Rock The Shop” was rockin’ despite the cold temps Saturday evening. Electric Team Riders Cheryl Maas and Torgein Bergem took 2nds at Pleasure Jam.
Lots of the kids who were in town because of the opening took the chance to get a glimpse of the new goggles.
The free hot wine (as well as a few beers) made the atmosphere really nice for everyone attending.
Blue Tomato put out some fat sacks, so those who were too tired from the day could relax with a few snacks offered by Electric, refilled the energy of the crowd.
While Cheryl was giving interviews all the rest of gang hung out outside with electric riders Thomas Feurstein, Torgeir Bergrem, Philipp Gruber and Michi Stanschitz.
NOVEMBER 17TH, 2009 | ACETATE COLOR SERIES | IN STORES NOW
Electric Acetate Color Series: Do you think the Jackalope chooses to breed under the full moon because it’s convenient? Do you think .0059 percent of the population choose to be albino because it’s awesome? No! These phenomena do not choose to be radical, they just are, and in a sense that’s what makes them so desirable. See, at Electric we realize that the finest things in life are often times those unattainable. With the release of the extremely limited handmade Electric Acetate Color Series this is your one chance to make your own indelible mark on society.
So why is acetate so special? The answer is simple: instead of the frames being painted like 99 percent of sunglasses produced, with acetate what you see is what you get, a deep, saturating color through and through-in short the frame is the color. This amounts to rich colored shades that are one of a kind; just like Friday night vomit will never match the unique tint of Saturday’s. Available only in Hardknox, Hoodlum and Typ2 frames, not every frame will receive the reputed acetate treatment, and with an extremely limited release, rest assured if you blink you will miss them.
Most of The Electric Acetate Color Series is not available online due to extremely limited quantities.
Please visit our Find A Retailer page to locate the Electric dealer closest to you.
Available at select retailers, it is imperative to seek these puppies out as new color patterns will be released randomly throughout the year and unlike the “Salmon of Capistrano” they are not soon to return.
So the next time a comet passes overhead, break away, have some punch, relax, and stay elusive in Electric’s Acetate Color Series… you know something the rest of ‘em don’t.
