Volcom’s PBRJ Stop #1

VOLCOM’S PBRJ STOP #1 | SIERRA-AT-TAHOE | JANUARY 7TH, 2012

This past Saturday Volcom kicked off their 2012 Peanut Butter and Rail Jam season at Sierra-At-Tahoe.

With about 100 competitors all ready to get their shred on, the contest kicked off with the 15 & Under division. Which was followed up by the 16 & Over, Girls and Open divisions all fighting to make it to finals to win an invitation to the 2012 PBRJ Championships in Mammoth, CA.

Despite the gnarly wind that mother nature was gracing us with that day the competitors definitely did not let that stop them from hitting all 3 zones in their heat.

Zone 1 was the down flat down rail, Zone 2 was the cannon rail to barrel bonk and Zone 3 was the down rail.

The highlight of the day was Sawyer Deen winning Electric’s “Gooyest Move of the Event” for his FS 270 in 270 out on the kink rail. Huge thanks to the Volcom PBRJ Crew for kicking the season off right! For more Volcom PBRJ info and a full schedule go to http://www.volcom.com/pbrj/index.asp?seasonId=23

Snowboarder Magazine | Rider Of The Year Issue

SNOWBOARDER MAGAZINE | RIDER OF THE YEAR ISSUE | JANUARY 2012

Snowboarder Magazine’s Rider of the Year Issue just landed and Electric has a few Athletes who made the cut.

Pat Moore coming off a great year for himself took the #6 spot for Men’s Top Ten. Pat had the Double song ender in Forum’s “Vacation’ Movie, as well as a in-depth Interview to earn himself a respectful #6…

Cheryl Maas and Jessica Kimura take the #1 & #2 slot for the Women. Cheryl Maas landing the #1 spot for the ladies is a huge accomplishment to say the least, Cheryl not only stomped some double Backs, to Back 9’s, but also kill the urban scene like a grown man.

Jessica Kimura at #2 could not have happened with out her effortless skills on some big rails all over every City last winter.

Electric would like to cheers to our Boy and Girls for earning themselves a spot on the Top Ten!
