ELECTRIC SPRING KICKOFF PARTY || SATELLITE BAR & LOUNGE, DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA USA || MARCH 24TH 2012
This past weekend ELECTRIC had our annual Spring Kickoff Party held in beautiful downtown Wilmington, NC at the award winning Satellite Bar & Lounge.
The Venue, along with the presence of all accounts, friends, and family created one of the best Events that Wilmington has seen in a long time! BIG thanks to Surf City, Sweetwater, Aussie Island, Hot Wax, Green Room, and Side Arm Surf Shops for coming out and hanging with us throughout this amazing evening!
The line up for the night included “The Meanwhiles” hailing from Nashville Tennessee, and “Deep Chatham” from our very own North Carolina. These guys absolutely rocked the house with warm sounds, lyrics from the south, and a hyped bluegrass vibe to keep everyone moving all night long.
Thanks to Satellite and the whole ELECTRIC Crew for all the help and good times. Can’t wait until the next year. Until then… Yewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
Electric held the inaugural St. Flatricks Day up at Brighton this past Saturday. Bad weather did not stop the 50 kids who showed up to Shred the Flat Ground set up, with guest judges Chris Bradshaw and Lucas Magoon all the kids wanted to show them what was up.
The first Jam session was about 45 minutes and then took the top 13 into a heated 30minute action packed Final.
Once the final started we got the BBQ rolling with Hot Dogs, Magoon started to MC and the finalist did the rest. Bradshaw and Magoon had some help from the rest of the Electric posse and all of them were pumped on how good some of the finalist rode.
At the end of the Jam all 13 of the finalist took home some Cash for good tricks, Sunglasses, Beanies and Goggles.
The finalist standouts were Dom Luza, Chris Cloud, Andrew Aldridge, Taylor Miller, Sean Whitaker, Jeff Mcgrath, Jeff Holce, and Cameron Gorby.
The contest was fun, laid back, and unique. Electric would like to thank Brighton, Jared Winkler and his Park Staff for making such a fun event happen. E-Stone, Jesse Anderson, and Mark Reznikof for taking photo’s and shooting Video during the Contest.

This is Jamie Anderson 3rd TTR World Tour Title. Jamie can not be more stoked to win this as she has had a long year of competing to earn this Victory. Congrats to Jamie for another amazing season of Podiums.
Electric left a trailblazing footprint this year at SIA especially when speaking of our 2012/13 Goggle Line.
Transworld Business said “the goggle arms race was taken to the next level as brands introduced an arsenal of new technologies and designs to separate themselves from their foes” and “the 2012/13 Electric line is everything you’d expect from the brand who arguably brought the first oversize goggle, the EG2, to market in 2005.”
Transworld Business was particularly impressed with our new goggle feature Eye Black stating “one of the coolest new features they’re touting is Eye Black, which reduces glare in riders’ eyes using a similar concept to baseball and NFL players’ using black paint or stickers under their eyes.”

2012 ON-SNOW DEMOS || WINTER PARK, CO / STRATTON, VT / ALPINE MEADOWS, Tahoe CA / Mammoth, CA || JANUARY 2012
The past two weeks Electric has hit four different mountains for the 2012 On-Snow Demos. We were demoing our 2012/2013 Goggles and Lenses to all our attending retailers.
Not only were we providing retailers with next years goggles but we were also feeding them with a BBQ each day.
We kicked off the demo season at Winter Park Colorado where we had a handful of retailers hanging out with us most of the day.
Following Winter Park we headed to Stratton Vermont which also had a great turnout with plenty of our East Coast Retailers cruising by the booth to check out what Electric had in store for next season.
While our East Coast team was busy with the Stratton demo our West Coast team was hitting Alpine Meadows in Tahoe, CA which was a jam packed two days filled with retailers from all over Northern California.
The last stop on our demo tour was at Mammoth Mountain, CA where we also had our annual Wave Rave party.
Volcom’s Agent Orange played to a packed store full of stoked retailers and industry peeps. The Wave Rave party was a great ender to another successful year of demos. Thank you to all of our hard working reps and retailers who made these past two weeks more than memorable. See you on the hill!
Electric’s Devin Logan crushed it this past weekend at the Dew Tour Championships in Utah.
Devin competed in both Women’s Superpipe and Slopestyle. Devin Took home a amazing 1st place in SuperPipe and was the only Women’s who’s score cracked into the 90′s.
Devin also competed in Women’s Slopestyle and took home a very respectful 3rd place finish.
This win secured the Dew Cup for Devin Logan, at 18 she is at the Top of her game and is well awarded with a Victory in Pipe and a bigger victory as the 2012 Women’s Superpipe Dew Cup Champion.
Devin was very close to winning both Dew Cups, but would fall just a tad short with the 3rd, earning herself 2nd place overall.
Electric superstar Torin Yater-Wallace was on hand for Men’s Superpipe and wanted to earn himself a Victory and a Dew Cup.
Torin would take home a 3rd place finish, and finish 2nd in the overall Dew Cup Championships. Congrats to Torin for a great run at the Dew Tour stops in 2012.
ELECTRIC’S MARK HEALEY ON THE COVER OF HAWAII SKINDIVER MAGAZINE
This quarter’s issue of Hawaii Skindiver features ELECTRIC’s Mark Healey on the cover. Mark and fellow diver and mad man Cameron Kirkconnell grabbed their women and ventured to the beautiful waters of Fiji.
Fiji to surfers is one of the most sought out surf spots in the world. Not only are there some of the best waves but there are also some of the biggest Dog Tooth Tunas that roam the waters. Healey may have lost the biggest one ever recorded but he did land the biggest one of his life.
Go grab the issue in stores now and see the massive fish that Mark and Cameron grabbed from the depth of the sea. Also, check out ELECTRIC’s very own Joel Olenik with his biggest White Sea Bass on the coast of California.
Also check out ELECTRIC’s Brandon Wahlers who has a product review on the new D.Payne (Dusty Payne’s new signature sunglass). Great Job Crew! You guys nailed it!!!
